Editorial Policy

CR7 Goal Tracker is committed to providing accurate, well-researched, and original content about Cristiano Ronaldo's career and goalscoring records. Every piece of content published on this site adheres to the following standards:

• Accuracy First: All statistics are verified against multiple authoritative sources before publication. When sources conflict, we use official competition records.
• Original Content: All articles are written by our editorial team. We do not republish content from other sources or use automated content generation.
• Clear Attribution: When we reference external sources, statistics, or quotes, we clearly indicate where the information comes from.
• Fact vs Opinion: We clearly distinguish between factual reporting and editorial opinion or analysis.

Every article and data update follows a structured process:

The accuracy of our goal database is our highest priority. Here's how we verify each entry:

• Primary Source: Official match reports from UEFA, FIFA, or the relevant domestic league/federation
• Secondary Verification: Cross-reference with club official communications and reputable sports statistics providers
• Historical Goals: For goals scored before comprehensive digital records (pre-2010), we consult newspaper archives and historical databases
• Video Confirmation: When available, we verify goal details (minute, type, assist) against match footage

What we count: Only goals scored in official competitive matches sanctioned by FIFA, UEFA, or national federations. This includes:

• Domestic league matches
• Domestic cup competitions
• Continental club competitions (Champions League, Europa League, etc.)
• Full international matches (World Cup, European Championship, Nations League, qualifiers)

What we don't count: Friendly matches, charity games, testimonials, youth team goals, or any unofficial competition.

We take errors seriously. When mistakes are identified:

• Minor errors (typos, formatting): Corrected immediately without notation
• Factual errors (incorrect statistics, dates, names): Corrected promptly with a note indicating the correction was made
• Significant errors (errors affecting the substance of an article): Corrected with a prominent correction notice and explanation

If you believe you've found an error, please contact us at [email protected] with:

• The URL of the page containing the error
• The specific error you've identified
• The correct information (with source, if possible)
