When he left in 2018, I knew I had to document his journey to 1000 goals.
CR7 Goal Tracker combines my two passions: football and software development. Every goal in our database has been manually verified against official match reports. I watch every Al-Nassr and Portugal match, updating the tracker within minutes of each goal.
This isn't just a website—it's a tribute to the greatest goalscorer in football history, built by a fan who watched him dominate the Bernabéu for nine unforgettable years.
Why I Started This Project
As a Real Madrid fan, I witnessed Ronaldo's greatness firsthand—every hat-trick at the Bernabéu, every Champions League final goal, every record broken. When he left Madrid in 2018, a part of me wanted to keep tracking his incredible journey.
In September 2024, when Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal against Croatia, I realized something: there was no dedicated platform tracking his journey to 1000. Wikipedia had basic stats. Transfermarkt had data. But nobody was telling the story behind each milestone.
I spent months building the initial database, cross-referencing every goal against multiple sources: official UEFA and FIFA records, club archives, and video footage. The result is the most accurate record of Ronaldo's goals on the internet.
My goal is simple: when Ronaldo scores his 1000th goal (and he will), I want fans—especially fellow Madridistas—to have a place where they can relive every single goal that came before it.

Data Sources & Methodology
Accuracy isn't just important—it's everything. Here's how I ensure every statistic is correct:

- Historical data: Newspaper archives from Record, A Bola, Marca, AS
- Video confirmation: Match footage for disputed or unclear goals
What counts as a goal? Only official competitive matches. This includes league games, domestic cups, continental competitions (Champions League, Europa League), and full international matches. Friendlies, charity matches, and unofficial games are excluded.
When sources disagree (which happens with historical data), I default to official competition records from UEFA, FIFA, or the relevant national federation.
